Each beaver hat is handmade using THE FAT HATTER 's original wooden mold .
Made from light-weight Portuguese beaver .
The design originates from American vintage hats from the 1950s .
The streamlined teardrop crown is hand-shaped by an artisan , and is wrapped with a 38mm wide ribbon, made from seven rows of shark gill ( regular and reverse) and the finest dress hat ribbon.The gently sloping flat-up brim is wrapped with an 18mm wide (finished 9mm ) bound edge, giving the black form a sharp and dignified look.
