THE FAT HATTER SERVICE
Here at “THE FAT HATTER”, all custom hats are made to order per client specifications.We provide the following services:
❶ FULL CUSTOM ORDERWhen undergoing a custom order, every detail is your decision. Crown shape, brim width, materials& of course, personal touches – choose the elements that make it your one & only.Customizations will be carefully reviewed on an individual basis by our staff to insure yourcustom order experience with us is satisfactory.
*Lead-times will range from 60days, depending on availability of materials, current production scheduling, and the custom nature of an order.*Custom orders are only done in-shop, this will require customers to place their orders personally at one of our shops.
However, for our Overseas customers, we do provide a thorough custom hat order consultation via video chat.
To ensure each customer receives the time and attention they deserve, we limit our monthly custom orders.

(We do occasionally host order pop ups in different locations within Japan.)*Prices are subjected to change depending on materials and additional customization.
❷ TFH SIGNATURE MODEL SIZE ORDERHere at “THE FAT HATTER”, although specifications cannot be changed for existing signature models and products on sale, customers can order signature models or existing products in their own head sizes without incurring any additional charges.*Lead-times will range from 45days to 60days, depending on availability of materials, current production scheduling, and the custom nature of an order.*Please be aware that we may not be able to accommodate your size order if there is a lack of availability in materials etc.*We accept repair requests for in house products, hats that were made in our atelier.*Because we do take great pride in our craftsmanship, we do not accept alterations of any kind when it comes to our signature models. Please consider undergoing a full custom order if you would like to further customize your hat.
❸ PURCHASING READY-MADE PRODUCTS Products currently on sale in-store or online are available for purchase.* We do not accept alterations of any kind when it comes to our ready-made products.
❹REGARDING REPAIRSWe accept repair requests for in house products, hats that were made in our atelier: This includes full custom orders and custom size orders.*Please be aware that in some cases (due to the condition of the hat for example: wear & tear), we may not be able to restore the hat therefore, we may not have a choice but to decline your request.*Please feel free to contact us by email to discuss whether repairs are possible.
